UEA Weekend

Last weekend we went to Mesquite, NV to visit Clint's Grandma. The weather was beautiful and we all had a fun time. Clint's family decided to join us at the last minute and I think it made it even greater for the kids because they had MORE friends to play with. We had a wonderful visit with Grandma Phyllis, she always makes us feel right at home...although, for some reason we ALWAYS tend to eat more at GRANDMA'S! We will definitely have to plan another trip in the NEAR future! Clint sure loves and looks up to his grandma and it is always so hard for him and us to leave!
Here are some pictures:

National Walk-To-School Day

Today all of the kids at Rocky Mountain Elementary were encouraged to walk to school to practice their safety skills. The kids were asked to wear yellow shirts and walk as groups...kind of like a walking school bus. Since Kory usually rides the bus with Brock, this was all-new for him. Although it was ABSOLUTELY FREEZING, it sure was a great experience...Kory kept saying his legs were tired at one moment and then he would want to race me at another, then he wanted to see who could jump the farthest. (I really had to hold back considering my legs are as long as he is tall) We talked about Star Wars, Aliens, Halloween Costumes coming to life....etc, you know, the normal six year old boy conversation. It was really great to have some one-on-one time with my Sweet Kory.

Note: The reason why Brock did not walk with us is because his class is on a different schedule because he is in the State Program.

Tag...YOUR IT - #4

My friend HRH tagged anyone who wanted to play.....so, I thought, WHY NOT?
The tag goes like this. Go to your pictures, open the fourth folder & post the fourth picture.
Here is mine....
This is a picture of Brock at Moab back in April. We had gone with a large group and followed along all of the other Rhino's. Some of the sites where the group stopped gave me much anxiety because there were very LARGE cliffs and so I wouldn't allow my kids to get out of our Rhino. On this particular ride that we went on, if you look far back behind where Brock is standing is where the rest of the group had gone, apparently there was another large drop off and I didn't think my kids would want to sit in the Rhino for another stop, so we went down this small ravine so that the kids could get out and play...we had a great time! And Brock sure looks Happy!
So...I pass on this tag to anyone that would like to play along! (Hint, Hint....Kellie, Skyler, Shannon, Sasha)

I will survive....

Here are my three wonderful kids....SULKING, because Kory wants to play the PS2 (Star Wars Lego) and Brock wants to play outside with his friends or watch the new movie we just bought (Iron Man) and Rachel wants to wear her *Princess* shirt DIRTY out of the laundry basket. And I have decided that none of the kids are going to be happy because Brock & Kory have been told that they can't do ANYTHING they want to do until they find their MP3 players that have now been missing for three weeks and well...with Rachel, need I say more? Dirty clothes, yuck!
I am getting so tired of hearing that I am the "worst Mom in the world" and all because my kids are spoiled and don't always get their way! Boo Hoo! I don't want to wish them to get older, just to get past the phases they are in right now. Brock thinks he is king of the castle and what he says goes, Kory is Mr. Sensitive and if you even look at him wrong he balls like a little girl...sheesh! And Rachel...well, you don't have to guess...she definitely thinks she is and wants to be the princess of the house...and that means receive royal treatment in the meantime.
So, where does that put me? I go to bed between 11:00 PM - 12:00 AM so that I can visit with Clint longer, then I wake up at 5:35 AM so that I can exercise and have some "quiet time" in the morning before I have to wake up the rascals to get them all ready for school, then by the time that I even THINK about getting ready for the day...it is time for lunch with Clint. I know that now I am just sounding like a whiner...wah, wah...but I guess it is just one of those days, he he. Needless to say...I am the Mom ("the worst mom in the world" according to the kids), the Maid (not a very good one because their is dust on my hutches & tables), the one that usually looks like a Bum (because there is no time for me to get ready for the day) and the cook...no King or Princess here, just me! I just hope one day I will hear "you are the best Mom in the world" and I don't just mean after I have bought something for my kids!
