Kory's 1st Grade Friendship Play

Tonight Kory was in his very first school play. He had a part that talked about sharing with friends...he did such an AWESOME job and remembered ALL of his lines, WAY TO GO KORY!

They had a few songs that involved some dancing and I must say....Kory has some moves! (Hmmmm...I wonder where he got those from? Ha!)

After the Play was finished we went out to dinner to Sizzler to celebrate Kory's success in his performance...it was a GREAT night!

Seriously?

So today is going to be a CRAZY day for me....we are having our Enrichment Craft Night tonight and I am in charge of 6 projects, need I say more? Preparing for tonight seems like it has been a long and somewhat nightmarish event...but it will all be over and GOOD after today!

The main reason for posting this is because...yesterday I guess you could say that I got the icing on the cake...not literally, but you know what I mean! The Principal from the kids' school called with some bad news, Kory had been sent to his office! Yep...my 1ST GRADER!!!! I guess yesterday a kid had slapped him and so Kory slapped the kid back...okay, probably what I would have done too, just being honest here! If you REALLY know Kory, you know him as a sweet, sensitive little boy full of energy and *IMAGINATION*. Well, the Principal precedes to tell me...."given Kory's record of not keeping his hands to himself...we will be giving him detention for THREE days". "GIVEN KORY'S RECORD"?????? So I guess Kory has been labeled, hmmmmm? Needless to say, I wasn't to happy about the call that I received and today I am scheduled to meet with the Principal to discuss what it is that we can do to fix the problem.

When Kory arrived home from school yesterday, I asked him about what had happened. He told me that the other boy had slapped him first so he slapped him back...okay, I already made that clear, but what got to me was when he told me that the other boy is one of his best friends. So....in my mind I am thinking that either they were just messing around or that it really wasn't that big of a deal.

Situations like this are all new to me, so I am guess I am a little uncertain on how to handle it...but I think it may have been blown out of proportion a bit. I remember being back in grade school and me & a couple of my friends scratching & pulling each others hair over something stupid...like borrowing a favorite pencil and not returning it, and I don't EVER remember being sent to the principal's office...or receiving DETENTION!

Anyways...I guess I just felt the need to vent, we will see how everything turns out! WISH ME LUCK!

Is this the face of someone that deserves DETENTION?

Clint & Sterling's B-Day Party!

Last Saturday my ENTIRE family came over to my house to Celebrate Clint (last Wed) & Sterling's (this Wed) Birthdays!

Although things were a bit *ROWDY* at times (thanks to the sugary Rootbeer, he he) I think everyone had a GREAT time!We ordered Pizza from Brick Oven and then ate Hot Apple Pie w/Ice Cream & Cheesecake w/Berries on top....OH YUM! Here are the (lively) guys after dinner ~Rachel was THRILLED to have so many visitors at our house at one time....like always she wanted ALL of the attention! She sure had a great time with Grandma Harding & Aunt Misty!

I am SO thankful that my Mom is doing so well after her surgery and that she was able to come and party with us! She looked so WONDERFUL and it truly was a pleasure to have her there! Here is also a super cute picture of Kellie and her two youngest....although Sterling was being a *STUBBORN* butt, I was able to get a picture of the two of them!

Last, but not least, before the night was over....me, Misty & Skyler decided to take a photo shoot....I am just bummed that Kellie isn't in it, they had to leave early for Brooklynn's Soccer Game, *sigh*.

Thank you my family for such a great time...AND for leaving my house in ONE piece, Me & Clint were VERY impressed!!!!!

Scrapbook Sleepover

On Friday I went with Miram & Mckenzie to the PG Recreation Scrapbook Sleepover. We had SUCH a great time! They had contests, drawings and TONZ of food! We had Pizza, Pop, Candy, Nachos & Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookes.....WOW, that's gonna hurt the scale!

I took quite a bit of my scrapbooking supplies, but nothing in comparison to Miriam...WOW! She had quite the load! We had a great time hanging out, watching Chick-Flicks on the Large Movie screen that was set up there and singing to some of the music that was played. I have not scrapbooked in FOREVER...so it was really great to get out and do that, and I even completed 6 ENTIRE pages....yay, go me!

It truly lit a fire in me and reminded me how much I really do LOVE to scrapbook, so I think I will continue to do at least a couple of pages a week! It sure was great to spend some time with Miriam & Mckenzie...we really are just a bunch of goofballs!

Oh...before I forget, there will be another Scrapbook Sleepover in March...so anyone that is up for it, you should go and we will have a GREAT time!

Happy Birthday CLINT!!!!

We had such a WONDERFUL day for Clint's BIG 32nd birthday. In the Morning, me and the boys woke up early and made Pancakes & Scrambled Eggs for breakfast...then Clint opened his presents from me & the kids. He got 2 Shirts, Cologne and a SUPER AWESOME R/C Truck! (Yep, he is STILL a kid at heart). For dinner we went as a family to Sizzler...YUM! We then came home for some WARM Apple Pie & Ice Cream. It was a great day to Celebrate such an AMAZING and WONDERFUL Man, Husband & Daddy!!!!!

Snickers Candy Bars

This Candy Bar is the DEVIL...I swear! I have been doing so good on eating all the right things....UNTIL, Halloween came around...then here came the Chocolate, or should I say...the SNICKERS! Since Halloween I am sure that I have eaten the equivalent of 10 Full Size Snickers Bars!!!! I am sure you are laughing right now and saying "Yeah, right", but I am so DEAD serious!!! Today my goal is to not get within 5 feet of ANY type of Chocolate, heaven help me!!!!!

On the brighter side however....yesterday I bought me some pants (2 pairs actually) that were a smaller size....SIZE 8'S, WOOOOHOOOOO! Maybe it was the Chocolate, hmmmmmm?
