Here are the kiddos singing their hearts out at Singstar...it was so cute I just HAD to take pics!
Rachel was the loudest and sure had some MOVES to add to the performance...what a character!

My WONDERFUL Birthday!!!

Yesterday was my Birthday...the BIG #29! My day was sooooooo GREAT! The day started out with my normal routine of going to aerobics class....when I returned home, I found this (pictured left) decoration on my front door, done by my sweet friend Riley (she is also my visiting teacher). Then, when I walked in the door, I was immediately embraced by the wonderful smell of Febreze and such a clean home...thanks to Clint & the kids. Then we had breakfast and afterwards Kory snuck upstairs and cleaned my room and made my bed...HOW SWEET! Clint took me and the kids to Sizzler for dinner and the kids were AWESOME and the food was super yummy. I received quite a few gifts from some of my thoughtful friends...mostly chocolate, geez...do they know me or what? he he. For dinner, Cheltsea (my SIL) came over and watched my kids while me & Clint went to dinner with my ENTIRE family...Dad, Mom, Sisters & Brother-In-Law's. My parents (once again) spoiled us by taking us to Sundance for dinner...wow, that place sure was beautiful and the food was AMAZING! We went for a nice little walk afterwards around the walking path at Sundance and listened to the beautiful sounds of the water and enjoyed the peace and love of being with family on such a special day....awwww, refreshing! Now for the best part of the evening...my family gave me the greatest gift!!!! They all pitched in and payed for a nights stay at a Danielle's Summit Lodge for me and Clint, they will be watching the kiddos for us and we will have an ENTIRE day to ourselves....WOW, what will that be like? Pretty darn nice, I think!
So, as you can see, my Birthday was WONDERFUL and what made it so wonderful is being able to share it with people that I love and that love me in return! Thank You EVERYONE for your thoughtfulness!

Rachel is Potty Trained!!!

Holy Moley! I NEVER thought this day would come when I wouldn't be changing anymore diapers...WOW! It has been eight solid years of hard work and dedication towards changing those diapers, he he he. I am not sure what flipped the switch in Rachel, but she just decided one day that she was done with diapers & pull-ups and from now on it would be PRINCESS panties each and every day! We have gone three ENTIRE days now accident free and I no longer have to ask her if she needs to go...she just goes! YAY! Way to go Rachel, you are such a big girl now....Pre-school, here she comes!

Heat Stroke!

The weirdest and scariest thing happened last night...

We were eating dinner as a family and Brock kept saying "My head is weird", "I have a Headache", "I am Dizzy"...then he said "My tummy hurts!" So...I thought, uh oh, he needs to throw up! So I told him to go to the bathroom because he probably had to throw up. Well, he stood up and started heading out the back door of the house...ummmm, okay. I grabbed his arm and guided him to the bathroom and he sat down in front of the toilet. I left him there, cuz I tend to have a weak stomach...especially when I am trying to eat a meal. A few minutes later I heard him heaving...then I heard him throw up, with force might I add AND all over the bathroom floor. I was like...WHAT THE CRAP? I had just put him in front of the toilet, why on the floor? So I walked around the corner...just enough to where I could see the ENTIRE floor in the bathroom covered with vomit...then, Brock shoots from the corner of the bathroom, holding the plunger and fell onto the floor and slid through all of the vomit. He then stood up and his head was spinning around and he had his eyes WIDE open and he was feeling around the wall. I said "Brock, are you okay?" and he just kept feeling around the wall...like a blind person. Then I said "Brock, can you see?" and he didn't say anything, but I could tell that he couldn't see ANYTHING! I was trying not to freak out, but I was really concerned. Clint told Brock that they needed to go outside to clean him off with the hose...since he had just slid through vomit...so Brock was trying to and STILL couldn't see ANYTHING! So...I helped him go outside, then he was washed off. He finally somewhat came to and we walked back into the house...I told him to be careful not to step in the mess on the floor and he said "Who threw up?" It was soooooo WEIRD!!! Then, I told him to walk up the stairs and change his clothes...he never came back, so I walked up to his room and he had just crawled into bed and was a sleep. I woke him up, changed his clothes, gave him a glass of water and then he went to back to sleep. He slept for about an hour (with me checking on him every 10-15 min and waking him up to give him more water) then he came back downstairs and said he had a POUNDING headache...I gave him some Motrin, which caused him to throw up AGAIN..all over the couch and carpet in the family room. Luckily I found that we had some pedialyte, so I began to give him small amounts of that...and he seemed to be getting better. At about 9:30 PM I took him up to bed for the night. He slept really well and I woke him up a few times to have some fluids and then he woke up this morning...feeling 100% Brock again! Strange!

BTW, I did call the doctor's office last night and told them the ENTIRE story and they said that it sounded like Heat Stroke and just to keep giving him fluids and to try to keep him cooled down.

Today, he is jumping around with energy, but I am keeping a close eye on him and I am making him carry around a water bottle ALL day, which I told him we need to fill EVERY hour!

It is so crazy how aware we can all be about the chance of becoming dehydrated or getting heat stroke and it only takes one day of neglecting the awareness to have such a bad and scary result...so, KEEP HYDRATED! I am so glad that things didn't get worse!

Like Father....Like Son

Clint has ALWAYS been Brock's Inspiration. Brock has always looked up to his dad and is continually impressed and proud of all Clint's achievements and accomplishments. The other day Clint was out in the yard sanding on his boat and Brock decided that he wanted to help. Clint had just sprayed some gel coat on his boat and I guess that when gel coat settles it is tough like cement and EXTREMELY hard to sand smooth. So...Clint gave Brock a little bit of an easier task and asked him to sand on the driveline for his Bronco Project.

Brock was so proud of all that he accomplished and even more grateful that he was able to lend his dad a helping hand. I treasure the relationship between Clint and Brock and hope with all of my heart that they can continue to be life long buddies!
